We’ve always been about cars. When I was growing up my dad owned a car dealership and repair shop in the very same building we sell cars out of now. It gave me the opportunity to learn the value of hard work and that a little bit of elbow grease (and cleaner wax) goes a long way. I bought my first car when I was just thirteen – and although I’ve sold hundreds of vehicles independently and through the dealership, I still hold onto the ’98 GT Mustang I bought when I was fifteen, that my wife has affectionately dubbed “Stella Luna.” In college, I paid my bills by buying cars, rehabbing them, and reselling them. After college I spent some time in the franchise dealership world, building invaluable connections and relationships and getting some critical “know-how” experience under my belt. In 2014 my wife pushed me to quit my day job and chase my dreams. At 23 years old, we opened Jones Car Company as a detail shop. Our first paying job was cleaning the windows on my brothers Chevy Malibu. We didn’t start with much, but we started. We now have a second location in beautiful Shawsville, Virginia. Nine years in business later, here we are! We take the words “family business” to heart and more often than not you’ll get the chance to meet our 5 year old son and 2 year old daughter running around the office just like I used to. We treat our customers like family. We are proud of our business and we’re proud of the cars we put on our front line – after all, that’s our name on the bumper!
